Against my better judgement I jumped on the scales this morning (after my toast with pb and apple and coffee.) Even with breakfast and snack in my tummy and still feeling backed up, I weighed in at 148 pounds, which is pretty cool. I think I just weighed myself with a lot of food in my stomache the first time, so it wasn't truly 2 pounds of fat loss, but either way. my actual weekly weigh in is tuesday so I'm hoping to be a little less by then but we'll see. I still have to eat dinner and take another 30 minute walk, but here's what has happened plus the plan so far
Breakfast: 2 slices whole wheat toast with 1 T peanut butter
snack: apple
Lunch: 6oz tofu and vegetable stir fry with sesame seeds, orange
snack: 1 cup light soy milk with 6 small amaretti cookies
Dinner: 1 cup homemade split pea soup, salad with olive oil and vinegar

for exercise I have done: 30 min walking, 15 minute circuit training, 15 minute weight lifting and crunches

I would actually love to be 146 next tuesday, but I don't want to expect that because it will probably be a little less (and I will hit my goal either way)

I am concerned that I am not going to be able to lose at the rate I am planning on because I may be taking in too many calories considering those I burn to make that possible
I just calculated - and it looks like I ate about 1250 calories (being conservative - it could be more)
it looks like I burned about 565 calories. my 'sedentary burn' is calculated at either 1800 or 1900 calories
so I burned 2365-2465. minus 1000 means my equation would have worked even eating a couple hundred more calories. I thought I ate soo much more! I must have miscalculated earlier.
I may have had a couple more carrots, or a little more calories from the apple or whipped cream
well, will measure more carefully so as to agonize less in the future
we'll see how things look come next tuesday.
This blog is just for me, so I'm not starting with much background.
For the next few months, I have two main goals: earn money, get in shape.

First: get in shape aka eat a healthy balanced diet, tone up and lose 20 pounds
diet: weight watchers
everyday exercise: 30-60 minutes pilates, 30-75 minutes walking, 0-30 minutes circuit training
goal for weekly weight loss: 2 lbs - hoping!
amount of time: 10 weeks or 2 1/2 months

as far as getting a job, I found an ad on craigslist for a part time job at a small pet shop in Mont Clair, and will be applying tomorrow.

Today as far as "the plan" goal points:22 points eaten: 22

Breakfast: slice of whole wheat toast w/peanut butter, light yogurt with apple and orange
Lunch: salad with 4oz turkey breast, 1 banana, 1 apple
Snack: 2 small pieces of cookie, 1/4 cup whipped cream, celery sticks
Dinner: 2 skinless chicken legs, 1 slice French bread with butter, salad with olive oil and olives
Snack: apple, baby carrots

Exercise: 1h15 minutes brisk walking, 30 minutes Pilates
Water: 3 glasses - ouch!
supplements: 5-htp and fish oil

motivation: high!

went to coffee with dad this morning. talked to alana on the phone for quite a while, emailed lana about hanging out in the city saturday, scheduled lunch with friday then dinner with frank and logan friday as well
